Class Kinetofragminophora: Subclass Suctoria: Order Suctorida: Suborder Evaginogenina (ref. ID; 2013)

[ref. ID; 2013]
Body hemispherical in shape with flattened side attached directly to substratum. There is neither lorica nor stalk present. The tentacles are slender and pointed and arise from the dorsal surface. Some tentacle are branched, others are simple. The macronucleus is rounded and the animal reproduces by endogenous budding. Found growing on freshwater gammarids in Lake Baikal. Most easily confused with Stylocometes which has unbranched tentacles and Discosomatella which has unbranched tentacles arranged in fascicles.
