Lorica, half of which is a long obliquely-held neck, lies on its flattened side. It is constructed of 2 coats, the outer thicker one is fibrous, covered in foreign objects and is cemented to submerged objects. The form of the body has not yet been described since observations on the genus have either concerned fixed material or animals in a highly contracted state. This the form of the peristomial loves has not yet been recorded. The macronucleus is moniliform. Most easily confused with Diafolliculina which has a single rounded macronucleus and a lorica with a short neck. Single species genus. Described from River Parana in Argentina.
