Class Kinetofragminophora: Subclass Vestibulifera: Incertae sedis Order Trichostomatida (ref. ID; 2013)

[ref. ID; 2013]
Shape circular in outline, dorso-ventrally flattened but the dorsal side is more arched than ventral surface. On the ventral surface there is a deep groove which originates at the oval subapical oral aperture and ends terminally. The groove is lined on each side with long cilia. At the posterior end of the groove are 4 cirri and on either side of the oral aperture is a semi-circular ridge bearing long cilia. The rest of the body is covered in long cilia which tend to be longer on the left side. Macronucleus elongate to ovoid, centrally placed. Single contractile vacuole in posterior region cell. Descriptions based on two reports (Gajewskaja 1928, 1933) from plankton in Lake Baikal.
