Body shape approximately ovoid but rather asymmetrical with flattened ventral surface and convex dorsal surface. Body metabolic and slightly contractile. Oral aperture in anterior quarter of body opening from ventral surface. Anterior somatic cilia denser than posterior cilia. Caudal cilium present. Macronucleus oval, centrally located. Contractile vacuole posterior with permanent pore opening onto ventral surface. Rare, description based on single record in Russia.
