Body elongate and slightly truncated obliquely at apical end. The peristome is narrow, very short (less than quarter body length) lying on the anterior left edge of the ventral surface. Inconspicuous AZM but no undulating membrane. The body uniformly ciliated in longitudinal meridians. The terminal contractile vacuole served by canals. The macronucleus is vermiform. Sapropelic.
