Body outline shape oval, anterior region severely truncated transversely. Oral aperture apical, surrounded by many long thick cilia. Somatic ciliation uniform in longitudinal rows, with single long caudal cilium. Macronucleus reniform, lying to one side in equator of body, single lateral contractile vacuole at same level. Genus erected by Vuxanovici (1962).
