Lohmanniella

Lohmanniella Leegaard, 1915 (ref. ID; 3389) or Lohmaniella (ref. ID; 1878)

[ref. ID; 3389]
Medium size, globular body. Two kinds of membranelles of adoral zone are present, which encircle the apical area. The buccal cavity is closed with a membrane-like seal. Occurs in the marine habitat. (ref. ID; 3389)

Lohmanniella oviformis Leegaard, 1915 (ref. ID; 3389), Lohmaniella oviformis (ref. ID; 1878)

Descriptions

The body is globular. Two different kinds of adoral membranelles, long and short, encircle the apical area. The anterior end of the membranelles is frayed. The macronucleus is round to oval. A marine species. (ref. ID; 3389)

Measurements

Size, 16-44 um. (ref. ID; 3389)

Lohmanniella spiralis Leegaard, 1915 (ref. ID; 3389), Lohmaniella spiralis (ref. ID; 1878)

See

Strobilidium spiralis (ref. ID; 1878)

Descriptions

The body is globular. Apical membranelles form a circle, in which independent membranelles are present. A marine species. (ref. ID; 3389)

Comments

Lohmann's (1908) "kugeliger Ciliat" resembles this species. (ref. ID; 3389)

Measurements

Size, 35-60 um. (ref. ID; 3389)
