Body outline shape oval except for the anterior end which is divided into 2 obliquely directed horn-like projections. The apical concavity formed between the horns is lined by an unciliated ridge in which the slit-like oral aperture is located. As in Perispira, the ridge continues past the apical region and spirals down around the body. Ciliation uniform. Macronucleus in two sausage-shaped parts. Large single terminal contractile vacuole present.
