Subclass Scuticociliatia (ref. ID; 7213)
[ref. ID; 2014]
Outline body-shape reniform, slender, laterally flattened, small ciliates (about 40 um long). Oral aperture in anterior body half with pre-oral part of body more or less bent ventrally. Buccal cavity relatively large with a prominent cowl-like membrane extending over the anterior margin on the oral aperture. Cilia long, uniformly and sparsely distributed over body. A distinct adoral row of cilia leading diagonally across the body from the center of the right side of the oral aperture. A single caudal cilium. Rounded macronucleus anteriorly located.
Single species genus.
