Body shape ellipsoid to reniform, uniformly ciliated with many longitudinal/oblique rows which originate around the edge of the vestibular opening. The vestibulum is spherical and well developed opening via a figure-of 8 slit. The vestibulum is ciliated internally and contains 2 large membranelles. The cytostome lies at the bottom of the vestibulum. Macronucleus large and sausage-shaped, single small rounded micronucleus. Single contractile vacuole surrounded by several small serving canals.
