Body shape oval to reniform in outline with short anterior rostrum which is directed to its left. Body ciliation uniform in many longitudinal/oblique rows originating from a distinct pre-oral suture which extends from the vestibular aperture on the ventral surface to the midline of the dorsal surface. Lip of the vestibular aperture distinctly U-shaped in center of ventral surface. There is a posteriorly directed membranelle-like structure on the left side of the vestibular lip. Macronucleus spherical, equatorial to animal's right with 2 micronuclei. Contractile vacuole with 2 long serving canals which extend a third of the length of the body along its margins.
