Body is an irregular shape forming an encrusting growth on gammarid crustacea such as Acanthogammarus. Unbranched finger-like outgrowths project from around the edge of the body, their ends are clubbed and terminate in tentacles. The macronucleus is band-like and branched. Reproduction by endogenous budding, Originally described from Lake Baikal, not yet reported elsewhere. Most easily confused with Stylophrya which is mounted upon a column-like support and with Baikalodendron whose arms are branched.
