Body outline shape irregularly oval, slightly compressed laterally. Dorsal side convex, ventral side concave but with median bulge. Oral aperture large and rounded at anterior end of cell on ventral edge. There is a concavity at the posterior end of the ventral edge (for attachment purposes?) associated with a large adjacent vacuole which is not contractile. Somatic ciliation in the form of many longitudinal kineties with an apical patch without cilia. Several Muller's vesicles present.
